A predictable way to resize a group of images
Batch resizing is useful when every image is headed to the same destination. The safest workflow is to decide whether the destination needs one fixed canvas or one shared width or height before choosing the files.
Choose the right rule for mixed dimensions
With aspect ratio enabled, entering a width applies that width to every image and calculates each height from its own proportions. That works well for article images, email attachments, and product photos that may be portrait or landscape.
A preset applies an exact width and height to the full batch. Use exact dimensions only when the receiving system requires that shape and you have reviewed the risk of stretching differently proportioned originals.
Preserve or standardize the format
Choose Original when each file should remain in its source format where the browser supports it. Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, or another named format when the full batch needs a consistent file type.
Format conversion has tradeoffs. JPG cannot retain transparency, PNG may be large for photographs, and animated GIF input is exported as a still frame by browser canvas processing.
Review the active-file summary
After selecting files, the active-file cards show the calculated output dimensions for each image. Remove any item that needs a different rule and process it separately instead of forcing one setting across incompatible assets.
The preview and file-size estimate use the primary image as a quick check. Images with different detail and compression can produce different file sizes even when their output dimensions match.
Download the complete batch
The browser creates and downloads each resized file in sequence. Some browsers display a one-time prompt before allowing several automatic downloads from the same page.
No batch archive is uploaded or assembled on a server. Keep the tab open until every download has started, then inspect a few representative files before replacing any originals.
